Kingsland Drinks has won the Innovation Award at this year’s Salford Business Awards and were shortlisted for the Salford Business of the Year Award for 2017.

This is the premier award of the year in the Salford area and requires entrants to show excellence and outstanding achievement in all aspects of their operations.  The awards took the form of a gala dinner at the AJ Bell Stadium in Salford on 25th May.

Kingsland Drinks, based in Irlam, is a premier independent UK supplier of wine. With over 90 producer and own-brand wines, it supplies major supermarkets and independents, as well as the on-trade (bars, pubs and restaurants), with brands ranging from Andrew Peace and Vistamar to Mr Gladstone’s Curious Emporium and Willow & Stone.

Managing Director Andy Sagar comments,This is fantastic recognition for everybody in the business for the hard work that has gone into transforming Kingsland into a broader ‘Innovative drinks’ business.’

In terms of awards, it’s been a fruitful year so far for Kingsland. Tesco awarded Kingsland the Supplier Award for Innovation at their IGD conference in Wembley earlier this month. This recognised its on-site carbonation line and innovative packaging developments.
