Kingsland have announced that Guy Young will be joining the company as Commercial Director, replacing Rob Page who is moving to Bavaria UK as Managing Director.

Young, who has been working as a consultant for the Manchester based company, takes up his new position on Monday 24th March and will initially share the role with Page to ensure a smooth handover.

Managing Director Andy Sagar comments, “Guy’s consultancy work has been instrumental in our recent growth – both of Kingsland and our agency division, Legacy Wines.  We’re delighted to welcome someone with his experience and expertise to the team on a permanent basis and wish Rob very good luck for his move to the world of beer.”

Guy Young has been involved in the UK wine trade for over thirty years, notably as Managing Director of HwCg until the agency was purchased by PLB in 2010.  Since then, Young has worked as Business Strategy Director for TFC Wines & Spirits and consulted for a number of companies, including Kingsland.

“At HwCg, we were passionate about wine, dynamic and completely customer and consumer focused,” he says.  “These values are also held at Kingsland, and I’m delighted to be joining the team at such a crucial stage in the company’s development.”

Established 50 years ago, Kingsland Wines & Spirits are experts in UK bottling, packaging and bulk wine shipping.  In 2012, the purchase of aspects of the Stratford’s business gave Kingsland the opportunity to build on its existing agency portfolio.
